Try using the PCL drivers and not the PS. I had a couple issues a few
months ago and going to PCL seemed to fix it.

Anyone out there using HP Laserjets 4050?

I have a user, that when printing, gets the following error:

It seems that this only occurs when printing custom reports(Report Builder)
or when printing a form(Crystal).

I'm at a point that i'm wondering if the problem is the printer driver or
with vantage. I've tried replacing the printer driver with no effect.

Can anyone give me any other solutions as what her problem might be?

Anyone out there using HP Laserjets 4050?

We use a 4050 very heavily w/ Vantage 4.0. Be happy to compare driver versions.

I've seen this with HP 1200 and to fix it (quick fix) put paper in the
manual tray. Real fix is to mess with the drivers though, and who would
want to do that? :)

I use a Hp4050 in our customer service dept. They are printing Vantage and
Custom Crystal forms. When I set the printer up I got the most current
drivers from the internet. Try new drivers. If that doesn't work, try making
a fast simple report (kind that doesn't work). On this report just put a
couple fields and try printing. I have noticed that a report printed on the
4050 has different spacing then my HPLJ4. Maybe something is trying to print
past the margins? Or maybe a font in the current reports are not supported.
I am using drives for HP Laser Jet 4050 series PCL 5e. Hope this helps.

P.S. Another thought is your side margins set to 0. Most Laser can't print
at 0 side margins.

We have an HP4050 that prints fine from Vantage/Crystal/RB. On some
workstations we have to use an HP Series II driver or an HP IIID driver to
get Crystal forms to print correctly.
