Printing Draft POs

Is there really no simple way to print a draft PO? We’ve recently started using PO Approvals with the PO automatically being sent to the supplier on approval. Unfortunately, this means that our buyers are no longer able to temporarily approve a PO to see a print preview before it’s sent. I thought I could by-pass the greyed out Print PO by adding a new action menu item for Print Draft (to print the PO with a draft watermark) but don’t know how to get around the approval check on the print screen.

Any ideas?
Thanks, Alison

Depending on how you have the PO being sent out, could you add a misc charge to the PO header and put in -100% . This will zero out the PO and allow it be approved by a buyer without going through approval so they can see what it looks like. Just double check your BPMs to make sure that won’t cause it to send once it changes the status to Approve. You could add “Draft” wording to the report based on the -100% discount as well.

Thanks Bobby, that’s a good suggestion which we may end up using. Still seems like there should be a more seamless way though.
