Print Preview Getting Stuck

Hello Epicor Community!

Sometimes our print preview gets stuck and people aren’t able to finish processing. I have noticed that it occurs when our Multi-Company Direct Server Process seems to be taking awhile or getting stuck. Would these two be related?

Also, when the Multi-Company process gets stuck, it usually shows an error like the one below. We are a cloud customer.

Thanks!

System.Data.Entity.Core.EntityCommandExecutionException: An error occurred while executing the command definition. See the inner exception for details.

I assume the query that’s run is taking too long to execute and it’s timing out. Perhaps you’re loading a lot of data or a BAQ which is loading many unnecessary columns?
Also, do you have a good internet connection since you’re a cloud customer?

We also get this issue sometimes but aren’t multi-company. I’ve seen it when previewing a range of forms - Quote, Job Traveller, Pack Slip etc. In my case, restarting the browser and navigating back to Kinetic results in the preview instantly appearing in a new tab.

Still investigating the cause.
