The goal is simple: Prevent the Excel Data Only (EDO) format RDL file from being auto-updated whenever there’s a change to the PDF format RDL. My current workaround is to save a copy of the EDO format RDL file so that when it happens, I can recover easily. But why does it do it in the first place? Is it hard coded somewhere? Is there a checkbox hiding some place in the RDD or Report Style? Has anyone every tried to overcome this before?
There are many reports that format into a PDF (bound by paper dimensions) one way and a completely different format is acceptable in Excel.
