This part of Epicor is mostly foreign to me. I understand that there are posting rules and they have an active “revision”.
We are testing Kinetic 2021.2 in our Pilot environment and I’m being told that posting things does not work. So I looked into the GL Trans Type Maintenance and I quickly see that our revisions are out of date. How do I get them “updated” to the current VBD version (24) from 14?

I would re-import them. That would be the quickest.
Is there some setting/checkbox I need to do in order to get them to import to the current VBD?

In my upgrade guide it is in post installation 3.1.10 and 3.1.11
I see Import in the actions menu. I tried export from current version and import in Pilot… but that didn’t work. Evidently, I don’t.
They gave you a guide??
Yes, go to GL Transaction Type Maintenance and Import. I am sure there is documentation in help. If you have any more questions, let us know.

I did the import again and now if shows that it’s a “Draft”. I try to make it active and I get this error. Which makes sense I think. We jumped from 10.2.300 to 2021.2 so I imagine there are lots of examples where there are changes.
So, you want to do Import. Then on the import screen, select Standard and All and click on Load Transaction Type.
Select Import All, Update Mode All, Replace All, and Change All Revision Status to Active.
Then click Process.
I did say this was my first time… I’ve skimmed through the documentation before but I never took notice there was an upgrade guide. Now I know. Thanks!
