I am looking into the drop shipment functionality.
I created a sales order with a line release setup for a drop shipment. I then go to the “Generate Purchasing Suggestions” to generate the purchase order but nothing is created. Any pointers to where to look to get the PO automatically created? By the way I am assuming that this process will create the PO and link it to my original SO.

This should work as you described. We use it heavily and it works great.
I’m assuming this is a Purchased Part.
Can you look at the Part>Sites>Detail tab and verify that “Generate PO Suggestions” = True ?
Yes, “Generate PO Suggestions” = True. I also made sure I was an authorized user for the buyer of the part.
I got it, I was not using the PO Suggestions Entry screen correctly. Life is sometimes easier when you read the documentation
