PO Print Form Modification Question

The next step after editing the definition is that you have to
set the report style to use that definition that you created.
Then print the form from withing vantage to create the xml with the
new definition. Then in crystal set the datasource to the new xml
file that was created. Now you can add the field.

I need to include the field entryperson on the POForm when it is
printed. Being new Vantage 8.03 and after reading, do I need to
purchase the SDK to add columns/fields to existing reports?

Thanks

Trinity Yachts
Entry person is not the buyer?

The POHeader table has EntryPerson as a field. You should be able to
add to a copy of the report data definition if it is not already there.
Then you would add a report style to use the modified report definition
and finally modify the Crystal POForm.rpt to place the EntryPerson
field on the form.

Our buyers/purchasing agents do the data entry, but the Program
Manager authorizes the purchase. On the PO, we to show the PM as the
the Buyer(authorized) and the entryperson as the purchasing agent.

I modified the report definition by making a copy of the system
poform and adding the entryperson column. Is the next step to use
Crystal Reports to add the column to the report/form?

Thanks
Clinton

There is the Approval person in the PO header as well if you have the
buyers set up to have their PO's approved by someone.

But yes, The form would need to be modified using Crystal Reports to
add the fields to print.

How do I get Crystal Reports to recognize the new report definition?
The column is not appearing where I can drag/drop it onto the report.

Thanks for your help.
