PO Post Date - What is this field used for?

Hi,

Edit: Eventually found out this is used by Epicor Commerce Connect (ECC). Post Date is the date the PO was posted to the web. Would have been nice if the field help/docs specified this!

Does anyone know what POHeader.PostDate is for?

Tried searching in Epicare and in the client help but type in POST and a million articles appear relating to posting in finance. Not really helpful at all.

Field help shows:

“Date Buyer posted the PO”. What does this even mean? None of our buyers are aware of needing to post anything on their Purchase Orders.

There are no actions on the PO to post at all:

I tried to search around as well. Thought perhaps it was tied to EDI functionality… but came up dry.

Good find! I kinda wish fields like this would not be visible if you didn’t have the modules they fall under. But like you said, if they would just put a little more detail into the field help, this would’ve been a lot easier to figure out!
