We are working on adding subcontract operations to our method of manufacturing to accurately reflect the days out in our production schedule. When the job is released, the days out accurately reflects on the schedule. But once a PO is written against this operation, the schedule does not reflect the due date of the PO and is still the estimated days out?
Example: Subcontract operation needs to start 7/6 and has a 5 day lead time meaning it needs to be back 7/13. The vendor we are sending the parts to for subcontracting cannot get the part back to our shop until 7/15 so the due date reflects this. The schedule is still showing 7/13.
