I have been trying to analyse some of the PO suggestion.
Quite a few of the suggestions I can understand the logic that’s being used by the system, and where its not working for us, I have a good idea what needs to be changed in the part setup, but his has confused me… We have a few change suggestions that have appeared to reduce the qty on a PO despite ordering at the suppliers MOQ.
Oh I get it now, the PO suggestion is for the correct quantity, but the REDUCE po suggestion ignores the MOQ. I haven’t run into this but it looks like other people have: E10.1 PO Suggestion Madness - #15 by mcfreedombaby
If you have the patience you could try reporting it as a bug to support. Maybe there is a solution or a plan to fix it, or maybe they will shunt you off to Epicor ideas.
Looking at it again in more detail it seems worse what I thought before.
There’s also a new PO suggestion to order another x10 (@ MOQ) at a later date so after suggesting we reduce the initial qty due in Oct by 5.
Oct x10 - reduce suggestion, but cant change order qty due to MOQ
Dec x10 - another new suggestion as it assumes you would reduce the first
If there was no reduce suggestion from the x10 in October we have enough supply to fulfil the demand for the year with x3 left over.
However, If the new suggestion is also placed for x10 in Dec (without someone analysing timephase & change suggestions), it would leave the OH qty @ 13 by the end of the year.
