I am having an issue where jobs are going negative within a few days yet when MRP runs we are not prompted to firm up anything until January/February. I have added resource groups and unchecked finite to see if this will change anything and it hasn’t.
What can be done to bring those planned orders within the correct time frame? Right now we are combating this by firming up the jobs in January/February, running MRP and then moving those jobs to the suggested dates that the Planning Workbench suggests. The system recognizes (once the jobs are firm) that we need them much sooner but it is not prompting us to firm them up until the next year.
