I wouldn't think even creating a "zero" check would solve your problem - it still isn't going to take the deduction. I have a notebook and keep track of a person's absences, and then manually take the deduction(s) when a person returns to work. If a person is gone for several weeks, I couldn't/wouldn't take all the deductions at once anyway, so that method has worked pretty well for me...

Subject: [Vantage] payroll deduction
I have a weekly hospitalization deduction for period 1 thru 4. In our old system if a person missed a week of work the deduction would go to carryover and deduct it the following week along with that weeks deduction.
Epicor is telling me I have to create a zero check in order for the system to recognize the deduction. Does anyone do this or any other options?
