I am trying to make PartBin a foreign key view or sub table view of Part in the Price List Inquiry so that I can make a grid view of the part and it's location and quantity in that location but am struggling to get a link. It doesn't come up as a table when I create a sub table view after making an FKV of Part
In Vantage 8.03.409C, I think you need to have the parent table (your FKV to part) and the drop down box to show sub table filled in before a table will be available in the drop down box to pick from?

I'm using Epicor 9 but I believe the principle is the same and what you
suggest is what I have done but PartBin is not an available as a table

Maybe you need PartWhse in between? Aren't bins separated by warehouse? You probably have to look at data dictionary to see how all tables relate in Part tables...

Tried that but can't work out how to get it pulled through : this is what I
have done:

View Name PartWhseFKW

Parent Part

View type FKV

Column Name PartNum

Like Part.PartNum

Adapter PartAdapter

Get By Type StringGetByID

Then

View Name PartWhseSTV

Parent PartWhseFKV

View Type STV

Sub Table PartWhse

Link Columns View Part

Parent Partnum Child Partnum

But how do I move on from here - can't seem to find the PartBin table -
should I do an FKW now linked to PartWhseSTV?

I don't think you will be able to make a STV to get Part Bins.

You can do up a form customization and use the PartOnHandWhse Business Object to return the on hand quantities in each bin of each warehouse
using the PartOnHandBin Dataset and bind that to a grid
