Part Searchword

We store it there as well, just easier for our purchasing and sales
department to be able to search by vendor part number within Vantage.
This was the only way (short of using the description field which is not
an option) that I could think of.

screen for vendor part# which stored 20 characters and will show up on

Quick question for the group,

I was looking at using the searchword field in Vantage (5.2) to house
the vendor part number. Looking at the field size in progress it shows
a length of 16 characters. Vantage Part File Maint. only allows input
of 8 characters. Is there a way to change the input size that Vantage
allows - going from 8 to the field size of 16?

If not, I guess will have to make do with only using 8 of the available
16 characters - still better than nothing I guess...
