Thank you for the information, I passed it by the Vantage tech and he said at version 6 we do not have that capability. What version are you using?

Paul, although you set up the part in the part master and assign a class, the default checkbox is quantity bearing, which means it is a stock part. If you want to use part class but have the transactions go to pur-ukn then uncheck the quantity bearing

Good morning group

I have a question; we have supplies that we call production supplies. This material is received in and sent directly to the production floor for use. We have assigned the class code "PROD" to identify our production material. As we know, at least in vantage 6.0, the part must be in the part master in order to assign the 'PROD" class code. Now that we have added the parts to the part master the material is no longer going PUR-UKN when it is received in, it is going PUR-STK. We would like the best of both worlds, assign the class code "PROD" and have the material when received go directly PUR-UKN, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
