We have had issues with this twice in the past. When there is obviously
no reason for the mismatch to occur, there is a Database Conversion you
can run from Sytem Management Utilities. Its number in the list is 6430,
and it is called " Recalculate Part Onhand / Allocation Summaries."
This should solve all your problems!
Don't bother asking why this needs to be run!! The answer is too complex
for Epicor to explain, so they reply with the old faithful argument that
Vantage is working as intended, and any upgrades will be part of version
of Vantage which is yet to be released, which you don't run anyway, so
its of no help at all.
I noticed something today and I wonder if other people have the same issue. When I look at the same part in both Part Maintenance and Part Tracker, the demand does not match. I've noticed that if a demand is created by an MRP job than it does not show up as a demand on the Part maintenance screen. Why would the 2 demand fields not match up. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jasper

I need to check into this a bit more, but I'm thinking we have had this
problem before. It was corrected by running database conversion 6430

In our Part Maintenance the demand includes the demand needed for job that are unfirm and created by MRP.
In the Part Tracker there are separate columns for firm demand and unfirm demand - these 2 total the demand on the Part Maint, Whse,List tab.
