A new user used Receipt Entry and marked a serialized part as received, but did not enter a serial number. Now we can’t move the part into inspection, and we need to ASAP because the part is supposed to ship out today! Epicor’s tech support spent an hour transferring me back and forth until I left a message with the right department (straight to voicemail) and I doubt they’ll get back to me in time. Does anyone here know what to do?
Okay so now I’m trying to use DMT to attach this serial number to the packslip record. Unfortunately, DMT isn’t working-- it says “Packslip not found” even though I entered a packslip value. I’ve heard that DMT needs columns to be in a certain order so that they will be read correctly-- does anyone know what order I should put these columns in so that they will be read correctly? Here’s what I’m trying to enter into the PO Receipts screen in DMT:
Company,PONum,VendorNumVendorID,PackSlip,PackLine,InputOurQty,BinNum,WarehouseCode,PartNum,SerialNo

Just wondering if you ever got the DMT to work or if this is still giving you trouble?
I’ve fixed some other types of “stuck” receipts via UBAQ
but… I have never tried inserting a missing S/N.
This is probably too late but maybe this would work?
Serial Number Maintenance
- Find the part and add in a serial as adjusted.
- find where the part quantity is located.
- move it to inventory and attach the receipt pack number and pack line,
- fill in the Warehouse/Bin.
unless the serial number already exists. If it does maybe it needs to be switched to inventory?
Serial Number Maintenance kept asking me for the Sales Order # so I wasn’t sure how to deal with that. Also our Regulatory manager said that wasn’t good enough anyway, the serial number absolutely must be done through the receipt. We’re a biomedical manufacturer, so we have to meet FDA demands for every part to be fully tracked every step of the way.
So the DMT error turned out to be an actual flaw in DMT in general, which Support says they’ll include in the August DMT update. Too bad we needed this fixed in June!
