Part Entry Setup Configured Sales Kit

Im looking for information on how to setup the part entry setup for the Parent Part for our Sales kit configuration.

Also i cant get that information to show up in configurator rules either.

There is a Setting Up Sales Kitting documentation in the help. In short:

  • Setup Component Parts as you would any part making the Type either Purchased or Manufactured.
  • Setup the Parent Part setting the Type as Sales Kit
  • Configure your Sales Kit options in Part/Site/Sales Kit
  • Using Engineering workbench, check out the parent part and and the children
  • Approve and check in.

As far as using the Configurator to do a sales kit, I’m not sure on that one. I’m a bit of a configurator newbie. Pretty sure It could be done, not sure how you pass the qtys back from to the SO, perhaps on the close or a document rule. Just remember the part needs to have the right combination of non-stock and qty bearing flags for it to be configurable (if I remember correctly)

The Sales kit parameters allow you to alter the quantity and shipping options (amongst other things).

Parent part for a sales kit needs to be quantity bearing. You can flag it non-stock or stockable depending on your circumstances/needs. IF you are making it configurable, you will need to mark it non-stock = TRUE. All children parts of sales kits must be non-stock = FALSE and qty-bearing = TRUE.

What info are you trying to get to show in the rules?
