What we do is to drop the configured price into a UD field on the Quote or Order. I then have a row rule which changes the color of price field to Yellow or Red depending on the difference between the price UD field and the actual price field. It is then up to our Customer Service Department to decide on if they need to override the price or not. I have a button on the form which will copy the configured price into the actual price.

Â
One thing to note is that processing a Demand into an Order will not trigger any customization or BPM on the created order. So if you use the Demand Management module you will have to update the "customized" fields on the order with the "ProcessDemand" BPM Method.

Subject: [Vantage] Override Configurator Pricing

Â
We have certain customers which buy off a set price list, but the parts are configured using pricing rules, which are overriding the price list
Â
One option we have is to override the price list after configuring each option by having estimating or customer service remember to select the override, the other would be to add a combo box in the configurator for the specific customer and then base pricing rules on that selection
Â
Any other thoughts?
