We have an outlying storage warehouse that is part of our primary plant in E10. This warehouse is more than 30 minutes away. We ship from both our manufacturing site and our storage warehouse. We have Quickship installed but you are only allowed one Fedex/UPS account per plant. We need this warehouse to be able to ship from its own address in order to get the proper shipping rates without creating another plant just for this shipping / storage warehouse.
Is there any other 3rd party software that can pull in shipping data from Epicor 10 into Fedex Ship Manager or UPS worldship? I’d prefer to use a 3rd party solution if it exists instead of trying to integrate the carrier solutions independently.
We have developed this solution and it has many advanced features that one would not expect of a carrier app integration. Please let me know if you would like to discuss it sometime.
We just did the install, and had a similar need with 2 separate UPS accounts.
I got the following from a contact on the QS team:
There is some interesting behavior about adding a second UPS account – depending upon the version of QS they are on. But you need to create an additional carrier with datapackager – that gives the ‘other’ UPS carrier a different name (like UPSNRI)
