[OT] Yahoo mail wierdness

Hmmm.... Our email server was down last Monday and yesterday when our
firewall crashed. I put a temporary NAT box in on Monday but yesterday
while I replaced the broken firewall our email server was "unavailable" and
worse yet because the firewall IP settings to redirect email to the server
were wrong it's hard telling what was happening incoming messages. This
would have been from 7am to 9am Thrusday morning. Perhaps I was the root of
the problem. If so, my appologies.

address that I did not recognize. It did reference the Yahoo Groups. Here

the weird part; I had replied to the Vantage Group and that message was
posted correctly. The notice that the messages were undeliverable had the
same reply that had been sent to the group but with a private e-mail
address
of someone I have never heard of. It has to be a problem in Yahoo Groups.

David,
This seems to happen on occasion when a eGroup list user's mailbox is full (do to being out of the office for too many days with too many emails.) Their server then reply's to YOU as the sender that the email is undeliverable. I've had it happen too.

Forward your 'undeliverable reply' message to one of the moderators and they should be able to look into it.

Actually, we've had this occur before. If memory serves, one of our number
is out of the office and their mail box has exceeded its capacity. As such
new mail to that box gets rejected back to the list which posts to us. Since
we havent gotten any for a bit I would guess that our user has returned
home.
