I had a problem with this with a couple of users after they got new
computers. Go to Control Panel> open Network Connections > select
Properties.
The top box has your network card in it, right beside it is the Configure
button. Select Configure > go to the Power Management tab. Take checkmarks
out of "allow computer to turn off..."
When the computer turns the network card off, you lose connection with the
servers. You have to wake it up to get your mail, etc.

In order to get our e-mail to show up we have to click on a different folder
than Inbox then back to Inbox and our e-mail arrives.
We just upgraded a handful of users and the complaints are constant
(justifiably so). I know I researched this before but never found a
solution. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Does anyone know how to
fix this?
TIA (in great big capital letters - if you know how to fix this!)
