You have to setup progress on the terminal server, and install the
vantage client. Do not setup a database. You need to configure copy
and configure separate .ini, and .mfg files for the terminal server
startup on your main Vantage server. The modifications redirect the
progress installation to the Terminal server while maintaining the link
to the main database. You then change the path of the Vantage shortcut
to point to the modified .ini, and .mfg files. Dependant on which
version of Vantage you are running, you may have to setup separate
working directories for each of your users. Generally, it would look
something like [Usershare]\[Username]\vntgwk52\.
I am working on a lot of assumptions. As with everything there is a few
gotchas throughout this process. This is the very basics of how it
works.
You can get full documentation and setup procedures from techsupport.
They were pretty thorough.
Hope this helps,

Can somebody give me the quick and dirty on how the terminal servers
run sessions on the server? I sort of understand how terminal
server works but have never used it. Is the Vantage server the
terminal server? Please explain.
Thanks,
Bruce
