OT-Report run in Crystal has different results than when ran in

That is what I have done. I ran it only where I had a problem with detail lines. 80% of our people do not print anything from Cyrstal that involves line level details...2-3 preople in shipping, a few in order processing and one for invoicing. I think all it does is synchs some dll files in the client with what the server side expects. No guarantees this will solve your issue but should not hurt to try.

Great - I have not done that yet! Does the patch need to be run on
each of our client workstations (50) to ensure the packslip is
correct no matter where it is being printed from?

Thanks!

know this resolves issues related to missing lines on several
reports and suspect it might also be related to how line level
information would be available for totaling. I've seen reports look
good in developer mode that don't work from Vantage that were fixed
with this. It is available for download from Epicor FTP site and
probably also from regular suppoprt downloads areas.

I have revised a Crystal pack slip and am testing it in the training
database (Vantage 5.00.329, Crystal 8.5). It has a formula which
calculates the total number of parts from each line of the packslip
(lines created due to quantites where shipped from various bins). The
formula is a running total field that summarizes shipdt.LNSHIPQTY,
sum, evaluate for each record, reset on change of field
shipdtl.PACKNUM and I positioned it on the grouping footer of
PACKNUM. I have been very careful to open and close Vantage and
Crystal and refresh them to make sure the data is refreshed. Since it
could be easy to accidently have the wrong Crystal report setup to run
in Vantage training, I changed a particular field to red font to
ensure I was using the same report both places. Makes no sense to
me. Has anyone run across anything like this? I'm pretty good with
Report Builder so I understand the basics, but I am a beginner with
Crystal and may be overlooking something very simple.

Thank you!

Long shot but easy enough to try....
Have you run the patch called "Crystal Decisions Database and Export Patch.exe" on the client running the report from Vantage? I know this resolves issues related to missing lines on several reports and suspect it might also be related to how line level information would be available for totaling. I've seen reports look good in developer mode that don't work from Vantage that were fixed with this. It is available for download from Epicor FTP site and probably also from regular suppoprt downloads areas.
