Job Description- Master Scheduler

General Accountabilities:

Reporting to the VP Operations the Master Scheduler role is a key central staff planning position to ensure integrity and communication of ERP plans and business decision information.
This position will manages corporate wide ERP Planning activities including facilitating Sales & Operations Planning reviews with senior management.
The position will ensure these Sales & Operations Planning objectives are fully achieved by coordinating the input of information and effective output from the management team to other ERP users and functions across the organization.
The position undertakes detailed planning processes needed within the global ERP system to control and coordinate the overall demand and scheduling through-out the corporation's operating facilities to ensure an outcome of realizable, realistic and effective plans that manage the utilization of all resources such as materials, inventory, equipment, plant facilities and manpower as well as achieving a balance of optimum customer deliveries and satisfaction.
The Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a documented long range master operating plan via the ERP system and developing a consistent team effort with other ERP users to meet the above goals.
The position must ensure planning and execution activities are conducted in a manner consistent with established policies procedures and internal controls.

Specific Accountabilities:

* Facilitate the regular Corporate S&OP meetings and maintain active action minutes.
* Provide a clear communication conduit to all key users on the planned direction from the S&OP
* Participate in developing market forecasts and business demand outlooks.
* Ensure Inventory and open demand and work-order files are maintained correctly within the system.
* Ensure that the ERP system reflects the effective resources available in terms of capacity.
* Perform regular reviews and audit reports of ERP databases to ensure overall system integrity.
* Provide ERP information for decision making concerning inventory, resource and staffing requirements etc.
* Prepare and maintain reports as required by operation leadership and senior management.
* Participate in the corporate team effort to meet customers' expectations for on time delivery, quality and value.
* Other activities as determined by the Vice President operations and senior management



Technical Accountabilities:

* Demonstrated leadership in managing and building a unified ERP business system user community
* Preferably an experienced member of APICS or related ERP user communities.
* At least 5 years of experience as a Planning leader within a manufacturing business.
* Preferred work experience in a Machine Shop and Coatings manufacturing/repair environment
* Business degree or equivalent formal qualification.
* Excels at operating in a fast pace cross functional corporate environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, delegation and a collaborative management style
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent computer skills and high level of proficiently in ERP systems, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
* A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
* Ability to travel on an international basis..
