We use DSX Access system with their WinDSX software.

Works great. Very customizable. You can have two different building codes if you want. You can control all devices on from one point and monitor all activity.

It uses RFID within the card so you don't need the magnetic strip.

I'm in the process of getting quotes for card access software and hardware to
get into our building. We currently have mag stripe cards and readers with old
quirky software running on an equally quirky W98 machine. In addition we've
purchased the building next door to us and will be adding card access to that
location. The 2 buildings are connected to our network via fiber optic. The
software needs to run on our network and control both locations.

I've got one quote so far using System Galaxy software with prox readers rather
than mag strip.

For those of you with card access what software/hardware combo are you using?

Any recommendations or warnings?
