(OT) ADP Payroll Interface

We did not get the payroll module. Instead we defined indirect codes for
vacation, holiday, personal etc... We wrote a report that pulls the
information weekly and creates a csv which can be imported into ADP. This
report also looks at shifts assigned to each employee and determines if the
charged time is straight time, overtime or double time. If you look into
the ADP documentation it defines what is needed in a csv for the import.

I am still in the process of getting the ADP module running the way we
need
it to run. The project has been dead for a few months now due to lack of
response on the side of Epicor. Basically the link passes through daily
totals by employee only, while ADP and our payroll processing clerk are
looking for payperiod totals. In addition, our version does not retain
the
information whether the manually entered hours are either vacation, or
sick
hours. One would say these are pretty basic functions, however CP wants
an
extra $750 for these mods. We have agreed to the additional costs months
ago, and have been ready to go ahead with the changes. However, the only
department who has returned our calls, is Epicor's collection department.
Pretty frustrating.

My advice: make a highly detailed list up front of what you want the CP
job
to do and spell each item out, then take it back to Epicor....

payroll product called PayExpert? Before I purchase the interface I want

be sure it's compatible. ADP and Vantage both THINK it will work but I

like more assurance than that. "Try it before you buy it" is not available
from Vantage Custom Programming.
