Order to Job Link

Nora:

I think that you need to mark the release on the sales order side to make
direct. If it is an inventory part, it assumes that you will pull from
stock, but you can override it at the Sales order release.

Subject: [Vantage] Order to Job Link

Security Level:? Internal

We are still on version 3.0 and have never really had a need to link sales
orders to jobs. We would like to start looking into doing this for some of
our spare parts assemblies. I must be missing some step in the process,
because when I go to the job to make the link and check the job as make to
order, there are no sales orders showing in the browser even though there
are open orders in the system for the part. It shouldn't matter if the
part
is stock or non stock, should it? What have I missed?
Thanks,

Nora,

We are also still using 3 and see the same thing not all the time but frequently.
It's like it forgets that those items should be there.
Almost none of our jobs are created using a part.
We never developed the gumption to figure out why it does it, we just add the link manually when necessary.

I remember now. The sales order release has to be marked "make" in order
for it to show up in the links browser.
