Scheduler here, knee deep in Epicor 10 MRP.
We have a production planning group with limited Epicor and MRP knowledge. We also have variable customer demand along with supplier scheduling challenges. All of this imposes some work on our planners. They can use some help understanding how to interpret Epicor and align Epicor plans to meet their forecast. A consultant who has experience in planning production in a similar environment could be a big help.
Current status is we have a well-functioning Epicor MRP system currently in validation. Data accuracy, inventory, labor reporting, job scheduling in Epicor all very good. Staff needs help getting up to speed in data interpretation and system tools available to help them understand Epicor plans and align with their needs.
Our customization skills through normal Epicor tools - dashboards,etc is not strong, in case that is part of the solution.
