We are using Omnify for managing our ECOs. We exported a snapshot of our BOMs to Omnify, and as BOMs need changes Engineering makes changes in Omnify then when approved someone enters the changes into Epicor. It’s nice from the standpoint that Engineering has a “sandbox” to make changes in, and that operation has clear documentation of what BOM changes are needed. Unfortunately the costs for Omnify are high, and having a person manually keep two databases in sync is non-ideal.
If helpful we design and manufacture electronics(relatively complex multilevel BOMs, phantom BOMs, etc)… I’m wondering what solutions others are using to manage ECOs, and you are happy with the solution.
