Office License -

Sounds like you need the reset lic utility from tech support. I have to run
it frequently. I bet this is not an issue of a machine using the wrong lic
but of a "lost lic" Due to some progress reason.
The reset utility works great for us.

We do have a enough licenses for all office users and data collection
users. I did check, no body is logged in twice. I looked at the
datacollection.vtg and datacollectionuser=yes.

I am assuming I have data collection workstations using an office
license. But I am trying to figure out which ones.

I guess my question would be do you have enough licenses for all the
PC's that can access Vantage?
If you do including, data collection, did you notice if any of your work
stations are listed more than once in procontrol.
I see this on occasion when an older PC locks up and is rebooted.
Vantage doesn't release the crashed PC's license and I have to release
it through procontrol.

Is there anyway I can tell what type a license a Vantage user is
using?
I am on 4.00.811. If I go to procontrol - I see all the workstations
logged on but I do not know what type of license they are using.

I recently purchased 2 more license, which give me exactly the number
of
office workstations that I have. So everyone can be logged on at
once.
But I am still receiving

An error "number of users exceeded!" I am trying to figure out if one
of my data collection machines are using an office license.

The only thing I can think of is to make sure your data collection icon on
the shop computers points to the datacollection.vtg file and that when you
edit that file there is a line that says VantageDataCollectionUser=YES in
there.

Vantage tech support sent me a report builder library that had some reports
for determining this. That was for version 5.1. It queries a couple of
hidden tables(licusers and licdcusers).

Data collection users can only run Data Collection and Job Tracker.so, if
you go to each data collection PC, change users to your login and try to
access anything else you should get a message telling you the data
collection user cant access it. So, if you can run order entry from the
data collection machine its using an office license. Im assuming this
would be a good test. ?????
