Interesting product but I would be worried that you will have to purchase a
copy of Windows XP for every client that connects to the host PC. This
would drive the TCO through the roof. Instead of spending $67 for a
Terminal Service Cal you would be required to purchased an XP lic for
$199.00.
Just a thought.

Looking to see if anyone has already gone down this road.
I'd like to phase out PC's on desktops. ( I'm really tired of this game!
)
Reasons:
* Maintenance nightmare ... I get tired of walking around and I have 3
remote facilities, 2 of which in are different states.
* PC's in shop floor environments are problematic.
* Performance on remote PC's accessing client-server aps across a WAN
is
poor.
* etc. etc. etc.
I'd like to switch to this model:
* Small box w/no fans that are bulletproof running a cheap, easy to
maintain operating system, along with VNC or PcAnywhere to which I can
hookup monitors, keyboard, mouse, printers, and usb devices. No
applications running except remote control software. ( can you say
"Terminal" )
* I do NOT want to run WTS / Citrix.
* Instead I want to migrate to either ultra-small form factor PC's or
PC-Blades located IN my server room under lock and key.
Using PC's in my server room is easy enough and cheap.
WYSE is suggesting I look at 9450Xe, 9455Xl, and 941Gxl, 3 XP-Embedded
Winterm models.
Does anyone have any experience with WYSE or other thin style clients in
a
non-WTS/Citrix environment ????
TIA for any feedback!
