[Off Topic] NIC teaming

I agree with Tom... Teaming worked great until I reached a network saturation point. Thats when I added gigastack modules to my cisco 3534XL's and configured them in a Point-to-Point, redundant link(s) to a cisco 3508G = a SCREAMING gigabit backbone!!

Rather then teaming, you may want to look at a Gigabit NIC card. It is VERY
inexpensive now for a gigabit switch as well.

Has anyone been successful in configuring NIC teaming on their Vantage
server or is anyone aware if this is feasible. My apologies if this topic
has been addressed previously, I was trying to stretch my memory but it is
not quite so flexible on a Monday.

Yes, we are... I'm using Intel Pro 100+ Server Adapters. Works great!
NOTE: I'm in the process of upgrading those to Intel Pro 1000 Server Adapter Teams...

Contact me directly if you have any questions regarding the NIC's or config.

We've had both our file server and vantage server NIC's teamed for over a
year, with no hassles.
