[off topic] Monitoring Email/Internet Use

Try the spector software - it tracks the IM nicely.

Set it up to create logs to the local 'C' drive and then set that folder as
a Hidden share ( $xxx )

You can then setup the viewer software on your PC ...

This software is amazing in what it can track and how clearly it can show
the results.

Subject: [Vantage] [off topic] Monitoring Email/Internet Use

Hello Everyone,

I know this has been covered several times, but when I do a search
on the archives for internet monitoring, the results are not what I
am looking for.

Anyways, my question is, we are having problems with employees using
the internet and personal email all day. I am trying to find a tool
that can monitor individual PC's. I also have people using IM all
day. I need a way to monitor this. I did see Cyber Snoop -
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dina

Dina,

SurfControl's Super Scout is the best I have seen for Internet use
monitoring, blocking etc. I am not sure about the email.

Surfcontrol actually makes an email control product as well. I haven't
actually tried it yet, as we are still using GFI mail essentials.

Incidentally, to save rehashing an old thread, try searching on
"Surfcontrol" in the archive. I found a bunch of threads there.
