We purchased a HP Laserjet 3100 (Fax/Scan/Print/Copier) in March and we like
it pretty well so far. Only black and white though. $340

Hey all I am in need of some help researching the better bang for my buck on
fax machines. I searched some review sites to compare but didn't really
find many to compare. I am in need of a laser quality fax machine that has
the ability to send and receive faxes if its in use or paper is out. Any
links or sources that any of you can provide would be great, or if you are
impressed with the fax machine you currently use or have seen, please send
me a make and model so I can go find pricing on it.

We have 3 Brother Combo units and have been pleased with their
price/performance.

I use these machines as network printers, fax machines, and copiers for
small runs.

Light to medium duty lasers.

Note: You can buy low-yield or high-yield toner cartridges - go with the
high-yield.

<http://www.insight.com> for pricing. In both cases you will get better
pricing in person then you will from the website but at least the website
will quickly give you ball park pricing.
