Not able to always resize columns in the dashboard query
PAGE NUMBER 12707MPS
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
Not able to always
resize columns in the dashboard query.
PROGRAM ID: lib/dashbrdframe.w
SOFTWARE
AND DATABASE INFO:
STEPS TO DUPLICATE:
1. From the Vantage
main screen > click View > Favorites bar.
2. The Favorites
bar will come up on the left.
3. If no dashboard queries
already exist, add one to the list by right clicking inside
the favorite bar and choose Item Maintenance.
4. In the
maintenance box select Add to display the Favorite Item Maintenance
box.
5. Click the Type dropdown to change it from Windows
to Dashboard Query.
6. Input a description > then click
the File search to display Export queries that have been created
thru the Business Activity Manager.
7. Select one of them
and click OK to save. Click OK again back on the Favorite Item
Maintenance screen, your new record has now been added to the
Group Item Maintenance box.
8. Close out of this box,
and your new item icon now displays in the Favorites bar.
9.
Double click it open to run the query and display the results
onscreen.
10. Click inside the results box someplace to select
it, which puts squares along the outside edge and in each corner.
11. At this point, you can go inside this box, put the pointer
on any line separating a column and drag it right or left to
resize it. Usually this works, but sometimes it wont, this
will just drag the whole box back and forth instead.
12. But
if you first resize the whole box by dragging on one of the
little squares on the outside edge first, then go back inside
the box to resize one column, it usually will not work. Drag
on one of the column separator lines and the whole box moves.
13. You have to click around a lot on other items, possibly
open and close other items from the favorites bar, before resizing
columns back in your query results output above will work.
14. See this on MNTECH 6.10.514 with the Favorites bar open,
click on the icons titled bob, resize test, or Resize2 to see
the above behavior.
