New Buyer Field in Part Plant

A while ago I was at an Epicor conference were I was shown the part plant screen had a new buyer field that showed who the buyer was if the buyer wasn’t set on the part plant record. For example if the buyer was set on the part class it would show who that buyer was.

I am curious if anyone on the new(er) versions of Epicor could tell me if that is in your version and if it is if you could take a screen shot of it for me. I am trying to push against adding a buyer to every part in favor of adding them to the part class records but the purchasing manager wants to see them on the part master record and not have to look them up in multiple spots. I may be able to get away with adding them to the part class records if I can show him that when we upgrade he will still see who the buyer is.

Thanks
Max

The technical details of that field show a binding of Part.DefaultBuyerName, but that field does not show up in the Data Dictionary.

This is EXACTLY why i pushed to have this “display only” field on the screen. It was too hard to know who the buyer would be, but this field does all the research for you and shows who the default is, so that you only need to override it if necessary!
