I've seen problems like this before with AR Invoices. One thing that has worked for me is to go into the Crystal Report for the AR Invoice and set
the printer options on the page setup to the new printer. If that doesn't work, try the "No Printer" option. Another thing to check is that the client has the latest version of the Crystal Report runtime from Epicor.
Another issue is the type of printer and the driver being used. I found a PCL 5, PCL 6, or PS driver to be the best. If your printer is one of those "dumb" printers where these is only one driver and it uses a raw data format, you may be out of luck. I've seen a lot of problems with these type of printers.

Subject: [Vantage] Network printer problems
Â
We just got a new network printer. My accounts receivable person cannot print invoices to the new printer. When she tries to print, everything looks okay, but the job never actually gets to the printer. When she print previews, it crashes her Epicor session. She can print to a PDF, and then print the PDF to the new printer, but that is not a very good alternative for the long term.
In a previous post, someone suggested removing the directory C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Epicor\ Vantage\8. 03.407. I did that along with all the other versions, except the end was ...\Vista\8. 03.403D. That not only did not help, but it also caused her to be unable to print preview any report. When I restored the directory from the recycle bin, I at least got her back to where she had been. I looked at the server log and saw nothing that looked like a problem, but I'm not sure what I am looking for. Other users have no problem printing AR invoices to the new network printer.
What should I try next?
