Hi there, We have two factories at two cities, To split the cost between the two plants，we set two sites.
But here comes problem: we will only purchase material at A site, and transfer material to B site when B site have job. Because some material can not split(like wire), so B site will have remain stock. Then when we run MRP and create PO Suggestion at A site, the remain stock at B site and the SO demand at B Site will not be consider. That will lead a wrong PO Suggestion and will over-purchasing.
So from financial perspective: we need split cost of two sites(that no problem)
from purchase perspective: we need consider the both sites demands, stock together when we run MRP and create PO Suggestion.
Any suggestion? What should I do?

You will have to adjust min quantities at each site and set the part to be purchased at site A and a transfer part (from Site A) at site B. That way MRP should plan transfer orders for site B and purchase order suggestions for Site A.
