We recently went live from Epicor 905 to Epicor 10.2.400 early this week and have not been able to get MRP to run successfully in regen mode. It runs fine in net change mode. Attached is the log file of the latest runDailyMrp002.zip (1019.8 KB)
I notice in your file you have a cut off date of 12/31/2029. and the error indicates an issue with the cut off date. What you tried to specify a specific start and end date when you setup the regen paramaters?
We are live on 10.2.400.5 and run both regen and net change without any issues.
Yes,
We specified the start and end date our self’s.
Hi Victor,
Reviewing your log against ours to see if anything jumps out, a couple of thoughts. First, your run is pretty long, how many processors are you using overall? We use 6 and it works well for us, with just over 1 hour MRP run time over 10K parts, 3 sites. When we’ve have MRP failure and have log per processor it makes finding any culprit part easier too.
Also, your site list is a little strange. MfgSys is a little concerning because I could imagine it being a reserved word that could wreak havoc since the system executable is called this. IDK if it matters or not, just a concern. Maybe run on Wichita only and see if have error.
Finally, after done with parts my goes to saving schedule load. Yours never shows done processing parts. Do you think the system made it to the end of all of your parts? So… did it choke on next part it was to process or did it choke on “done processing parts” “saving schedule load”?
IDK if any of these thinking out loud thoughts will help, but I know how excruciating dealing with MRP when it hangs is…
