Subject: [Vantage] MRP - Job Decrease Suggestions

Does anybody suffer this same problem and if so how do you workaround it?

Vantage v.6.0.525
MRP will suggest Job Qty decreases to released jobs irrespective of the qty
of component material issued to the job.

e.g Part has safety stock of 140, Qty On Hand of 20 and a future Sales
demand of 60. An existing job has a planned qty of 180 and "180's worth" of
material has been issued to the job and is part way through process but not
yet in a state where any can be deemed complete. MRP runs and because of the
safety stock level suggests a decrease to the job to 120 (This obviously
can't be achieved) and then generates a later unfirm job for 60. And that's
the problem, we've already bought or made the componentry required for this
job and we would really prefer not to do so again!!

All thoughts, ideas and suggestions gratefully received.

Regards,
Richard
