Moving controls from one groupbox to another

Hi everyone,

During our upgrade from 10.1.500 to 10.2.600 many of our customized screens have had their controls repositioned all over the place. In a lot of cases, it is not practical or even possible to put them back where they were. The problem is that when placing them in a different group box, they go behind the group box control. Is there a simple way to move controls from one group box to another so that they remain in the front?

Have you tried exporting it, then editing the XML?

Seems to work. I had to edit the GUID of the parent control in two places

But that moved it to the other group. Then I could place it where I wanted within that group

Thanks for replying. No, I have not tried that. I know how to export the customization, but what would I be looking to edit in the XML? I can see this;

Which has the control and label contained about five times each. Is this where I do it? If so what do I need to change?

Done it. Thanks @ckrusen. Much easier than deleting them all and re creating .
