Modifying Posted Labor Transactions

One of our shop floor managers recently discovered that an employee had clocked into the wrong job for an entire week last moth, and needs to have that labor moved to a different job. These transactions are already “Posted” when looking at T&E, so they cannot be recalled or deleted.

Is there any way for me to migrate that labor activity to a different job/op? Or do we just need to manually enter this data into T&E for the correct job/op, even though it’ll have different dates?

We do not use Epicor for any payroll purposes, so I am not worried about the time being logged properly, as the most it is going to do is skew the efficiency reports for a little while (which we don’t even use).

EDIT: Part of me thinks that this is something I should know…that it is something I have done in the past, and I am just drawing an absolute blank.

You can use Job Adjustment to adjust labor. This can correct the job costing without creating new T/E records or affecting the employee’s payroll hours.

Like I said in my edit from above…it is something that I should know and have done before…and it is

You’ll have to zero out the cost and time fields in Job Adjustment, and then re-enter them in T&E

Production Management > Job Management > General Operations > Job Adjustment

Could do it all in Job Adjustment. Negative on job A, positive on job B.

Since he completed a quantity of 239,000 for that Operationon Job A, I would enter -230,000 on it for Job A, then go into Job B and enter in 239,000…simple as that, right?

Quantity is one part of it, but if you want the hours/costs to be moved, you need to edit those fields too.

We don’t need those fields/values, but as long as I am in there I may as well do them too. No sense in half-arsing it.
