Mobile Warehouse - Hardware recommendations

I’m trying to demo Mobile Warehouse on an AML Paladin tow motor mounted android unit that runs an older version of Android (5.1). Installed the app but when trying to launch is just spins on the Epicor welcome screen and never prompts for server info or errors out.

The unit should be supported based on the Google Play Store listed requirements of 4.4 or above and I will need to troubleshoot with Epicor but…curious what hardware others are using or would recommend for vehicle mounted units, preferably with a physical keyboard attachment option.

Are you talking about the Epicor Mobile Warehouse from Biscit? We use zebra TC70 handhelds (not what you’re asking) but it should run on anything.

However, we couldn’t get it from the play store. Even for a test we had to get pre-licensed apks from Biscit and sideload them. Then, because we use WindowsUsernameChannel for Epicor, we had to create a separate appserver in the admin console using the same dB. Also the authentication settings in IIS had to be played with a bit.

It sounds like a lot but it actually wasn’t that big a deal and they’ve just worked without a single issue for six months, doing everything MES does.

I guess that is what I’m referring to but was unaware of the need for pre-licensed apks. I am very green to E10 as we’re not even close to being live yet. I attended one remote training session where we just obtained the EMW app from Google Play, which I now notice was created by Biscit Pty Ltd.

So maybe there is just a disconnect on my end on how exactly I should be obtaining and loading the app on these devices. I downloaded and successfully configured the play store version on my personal Android phone, but no luck on these tow motor tablets using the same setup method.

Thanks for the input on the Zebra TC70s, I will look into those further but also trying to maintain the tow motor mounted option if possible…we break far too many handheld units as it is.
