How exactly do you get parts to populate within the Min Max Safety Mass Update program? I try to select a part class but nothing generates from any selection. I then tried the “Search by Part” option within the Actions menu but that didn’t help either. Chose a specific part but nothing populated on the screen once I selected it from the search menu.
In Part Class, Check Include in Calculation, Check Sales History or Job Materials, Enter Days in History Window Example 365, enter safety factor days, example 30, enter default part lead time, example 20 days.
Now go to Min Max Safety Mass Update and see if parts pull in.
Yeah, finally figured it out shortly after I posted this. Although, not seeing any new results generated. Toggled some of the History Window settings but still haven’t received any values for Min, Max or Safety. Are there any supplemental programs/processes/field values I need to populate in order to generate ANY type of new values being suggested?
History Window, Safety Factor, Max Factor, Default Lead time control the calculations.
History window define the daily usage, Safety, Max are calculated off of that.
The help is pretty strait forward.
You have to SELECT ALL then “Calculate Selected”.
Start with a small group of 20 to 50 items until you get it tuned for your type of parts.
Then you can copy in whatever columns you want.
