Mfg vs Purch for multi-site

We have items we manufacture at site A, and stock in both sites A & B.

Any pros or cons for setting the PartType in Part.Site[B] to Purchased?

Site B does no manufacturing. So I never want the system to think a job at B should ever be created. But it’s not really purchased either, so I don’t want the system to suggest a PO either.

Can you set up the part in Site B to be Transfer?

All this time, I never knew that was an option.

Now I need to to integrate this into our configurator:

  1. Make new Part entry in site A
  2. Add all other sites to part
  3. Set all other sites to type Transfer
