And to answer your next question, to deploy your customization:
Add a new item in menu maintenance under processes, for
Epicor.Mfg.Menu.Mes.dll, and select your customization.
Then in your client configuration file (default.mfgsys), modify this
line:
<MESCustomMenuID value="UDXXX" />

Then right click on it and choose Properties
In the Target field locate where it shows -MES and change it to -MESC.
