MES and processing quantity complete for Co_Parts

Is any one processing quantity complete transactions in MES for Co Parts and can you share the screen shots of where that is. I am trying to get that info from Epicor and support keeps telling me to contact a consultant. We use MES for many transactions including reporting production on all parts but have just started using Co parts and understand it can be done in MES.

We need see to identify where it is done. We understand the full process in Time and Expense with the one odd exception that when we go to the co part tab time and expense automatically submits a record with 0 quantities and we can not enter the quantities complete on each part until we recall the record. The Epicor support tech is telling me that is the design and I can not believe that is true. Has anyone else had this issue.

My understanding is that you only report quantity for the part you determined to be the “lead” part and that reports the quantities for the co-parts based off of set up. Which I felt was a downfall when it came to scrapping individual parts.

The last time I used co-parts was a while and versions ago, so something may have changed that I am not aware of.

Thanks John, I am seeing conflicting info on the Epicor site and trying to get clarification

On End Activity, there is a tab for co-parts, but it looks like it is just display only.
