Menu Security for New Company

Hi All,

E9.05.702A

We are adding a new company to an existing Epicor database.
We want the menu security for this company to be independent from the menu security in the other companies.
It looks like I have to check off “Current Company Only” on the Security → Detail tab for each menu item in order to get this separation.

Anyone know if there is a process to automate this? Seems like a pretty standard request and I’m hoping there is an Epicor program that will do this for me.

There is no process to automate this unfortunately. It is not much better in 10 either.

I got an email from Cr8tive a few weeks ago about an Excel based tool they created for this.

Does the DMT tool (I know, it’s like saying LCD Display) support the menu and/or security tables?

What about making an updatable BAQ? Just query of all roecords, export to an excel file, update the fields in question, paste back into the updatable BAQ.

DMT includes both Menu and Menu Security imports

I did see that DMT could do it but was hesitant…I’ll give it a go.

Current Company Only in E905 only applied to our Multi-tenant Cloud offering–not on-premise. If memory serves, there wasn’t a single checkbox solution to this until 10.1.400.
