Memo fields

Just wanted to share my solution with everyone.

I added the Memo table as a sub report. Then on the main report I created a
formula field converting the OrderHed.Ordernum field to a string, at the
same time removing the two decimal places and the any commas. Next using the
new formula field I link to the Memo.Key1 field on the sub report. And
finally I filter the Memo.RelatedToFile to equal OrderHead.

Thanks,

I don't recall if this was one of the cases but often when dealing with
memos I've had to link by only company then filter down to what I really
want. Can run really slooooow.

Hi,

Has anyone found a way to link a memo field to an ordered table? Since they
link by different types of fields (One a string the other a number). I have
set the RelatedToFile field to OrderHed but the OrderNum and Key1 fields
will not link. This is all in ODBC.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Having a problem with one table (so far) using ODBC and Access. The
table is the Customer table, and this error comes up when trying to
link the table.

Microsoft Access

The operation failed. There are too many indexes on table
Pub_Customer. Delete some indexes on the table and try the operation
again.

Had no trouble in 5.1.

I have run the ODBC fix routine.

I also have updated Office recently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you search back through the archives on this list you'll find a lot of
discussion about this. Basically, there was a change in vantage 5.2 and you
can no longer access the customer table through ODBC from access. There are
workarounds which you should be able to find in the archives...
